Family & friends

Arion
Fifteen. Unpredictable. Marked for erasure.
Arion tries to help, gets things wrong, and cares enough to try again. OMNIS sees a danger it cannot predict. His father receives the order to erase him. Arion has to survive long enough to decide who he wants to become.

Kai
The maker with plans of his own.
Kai sees what a broken thing might become. His workshop, his projects and the people who depend on him matter. Helping Arion puts that life at risk. He is a friend with something of his own to lose.

Aelia
She can open the door. Can he trust her?
House Luxar has given Aelia access Arion desperately needs. It has also taught her what her family expects in return. As they grow closer, the space between protecting him and obeying her House becomes harder to live in.

Lyra
A mother who refuses the order.
When OMNIS orders Arion's erasure, Lyra takes her son and runs. Protecting him means defying the power that governs their lives. It also means facing the secrets she has kept from him.

Elion
His orders name his son.
Elion is an officer of FERROGRID. He is also Arion's father. When those loyalties collide, his training offers answers his child cannot survive. He must find a way to act before obedience decides for him.

Mael
What has he built into Arion's future?
Mael knows more about the power inside Arion than he has told him. His answers may open a way forward. They may also change what his grandson believes about his family.

Orin
The friend Arion could not fix.
Orin built the bridge. Arion tried to help and damaged it. Before gods, pursuit and power, there is this smaller wrong—and a friendship that cannot be repaired simply by meaning well.

Mira
Her life continues beyond the rescue.
Mira is one of the children who must live with the consequences of Arion's choices. She has people of her own to care for. When danger spreads, she helps lead other children towards safety.
Powers, refuge & records

Lady Luxar
Protection on her terms.
Lady Luxar can offer sanctuary when the city becomes dangerous. She expects to keep control of what happens inside it—including the choices of her daughter. Aelia's independence threatens something she is unwilling to surrender.

Veskar
He wants the power inside the boy.
Veskar does not need Arion to trust him. He needs to know what will make him yield. A frightened mother, a false way out, a moment of hope: each can become an instrument in his hands.

Sera
A truth worth keeping. A trust worth questioning.
Sera preserves records the official world would rather lose. For a child whose friend has been denied an existence, that work matters. But keeping someone's story does not settle who may use it.

Noma
He notices what others pass over.
Noma carries a crowded folder and an attention to detail that is easy to underestimate. In a city where a record can decide whose account is believed, what someone has kept may matter.

Ixael
Refuge beneath a god's authority.
The Sanctum offers care and a place to breathe. Ixael speaks for a faith that also wants to define what Arion means. A boy seeking shelter may find himself being turned into a sacred exception.

The AI God of Nexus Prime.
OMNIS
OMNIS governs lives and is worshipped as a god. Then a child's choices defeat its predictions. It answers uncertainty with an order: Arion's father must erase him.

The School
A test can follow a child home.
Arion's answers expose a limit in OMNIS's predictions. What happens in the classroom reaches his father's orders.
The Workshop
A future made by hand.
Kai has projects, skills and people to care for. In his workshop, friendship grows through the work of making something together.
House Luxar
Shelter with a claim on you.
Access, influence and an invitation to the ball can offer relief from pursuit. Aelia knows the family behind that protection.
Sanctum
A refuge that wants to name him.
People offer food, care and common work. The institution sees something sacred in Arion—and wants a say in what he becomes.
Archive Zero
What the city tried to forget.
The Keepers preserve suppressed records. For Arion, a surviving account could mean proof that a missing friend existed.
