A mother who refuses the order.
Lyra
When OMNIS orders Arion's erasure, Lyra takes her son and runs. Protecting him means defying the power that governs their lives. It also means facing the secrets she has kept from him.
The order reaches a family before it becomes a chase. Lyra sees what obedience will mean for her son and moves. From that point, the familiar city becomes a succession of places where she must decide whom to approach, what to reveal and how long it is safe to stay.
Her son needs her courage. He also needs answers she has not given him. The danger inside their home cannot be separated from decisions made long before Arion understood that his own body held a secret.
Separation makes the stakes harsher: being willing to do anything for a child is not the same as being able to reach him. Lyra must act within that distance, while Arion begins making choices she cannot make for him.
