CHILD OF CODE

Book I

When God Glitched

His friend has vanished. The city says he never existed.

A school test should have told Arion where he belonged. Instead, his answers expose something OMNIS cannot predict. The AI god's response reaches the family home: Arion's father is ordered to eliminate his own son.

His mother takes him and runs. Beyond the familiar streets, powerful Houses trade protection for influence, a religious sanctuary sees him as a sacred error, and Veskar wants the secret inside his body. Arion finds an ally in Kai, a gifted young maker with a workshop and plans of his own. Aelia, the daughter of House Luxar, can get him through doors that would stay closed to anyone else.

Then Kai is seized. When Arion looks for evidence, the records deny that his friend ever existed. He is left holding a metal plate marked with Kai's initial while the city tells a different story.

Separated from his mother, Arion follows a trail towards Archive Zero, where the Keepers preserve what the authorities want forgotten. He needs proof of what happened to Kai and a way to find Lyra. But the answers may also expose a secret kept by his own family—and force him to question the people he has trusted most.

What's at stake
