Sera — character portrait

A truth worth keeping. A trust worth questioning.

Sera

Sera preserves records the official world would rather lose. For a child whose friend has been denied an existence, that work matters. But keeping someone's story does not settle who may use it.

When the official record denies a friend ever existed, an archive becomes more than a store of information. It may be the only place where a child's insistence can meet evidence. Sera works where preserving a record can resist an attempt to erase a life.

Yet a preserved truth can expose someone as well as defend them. Arion needs witnesses and answers; he also needs a say in what happens to the story being assembled around him. The closer he comes to the truth, the more that distinction matters.
