Ixael — character portrait

Refuge beneath a god's authority.

Ixael

The Sanctum offers care and a place to breathe. Ixael speaks for a faith that also wants to define what Arion means. A boy seeking shelter may find himself being turned into a sacred exception.

The Sanctum offers something a hunted family badly needs: care, shared work and a moment to breathe. Within that refuge, Ixael belongs to a faith trying to understand a boy its god cannot predict. Arion arrives needing shelter; the institution sees a question of belief.

Being treated as an exception can feel like rescue until it begins to determine what a person is allowed to be. Around Arion, ordinary kindness and religious authority occupy the same space. Which of them will decide what happens when he no longer fits the explanation?
