Lady Luxar — character portrait

Protection on her terms.

Lady Luxar

Lady Luxar can offer sanctuary when the city becomes dangerous. She expects to keep control of what happens inside it—including the choices of her daughter. Aelia's independence threatens something she is unwilling to surrender.

House Luxar's power lives in the things other people need: protection, access, a name that changes how a request is received. Its matriarch understands the weight of every favour. A guest entering her care enters a network of expectations.

With Aelia, that authority is intimate. Lady Luxar wants her daughter safe, close and within reach. Aelia's growing independence makes those desires collide. What the mother calls protection may be precisely what the daughter needs to leave.

When the House itself faces scrutiny, affection and authority can no longer remain comfortably entwined. The question becomes concrete: what will Lady Luxar risk for her daughter if the cost includes losing the right to decide for her?
